Sparty Sells Out For The Chest-Bump, Is Rejected

Touchdown celebrations involving the mascot are the best. Well, almost the best, actually. Touchdown celebrations where the mascot tries to get in on the fun but gets rejected are even better. It’s adorable, funny and kind of sad when it happens. Poor mascots just want to be loved.

Sparty had one of those moments on Saturday. B.J. Cunningham bounded into the end zone and Sparty got a bit excited. He went all-out for the chest-bump, even getting airborne in his attempt, only to be rejected by Cunningham. The cold-hearted receiver gave Sparty the old fake before turning away and chest-bumping another.

Aw, shucks. Poor guy! You’ll get ‘em next time, Sparty.
