Virginia Vs. Miami Final: Cavaliers Upset Hurricanes, 28-21

The Miami Hurricanes were upset by the Virginia Cavaliers 28-21 in Miami. Virginia put the game away early in the fourth quarter, scoring on a 78-yard touchdown pass from Michael Rocco to Perry Jones. The Cavs then pulled off the two-point conversion to go up 28-14. Miami scored a touchdown on their next drive, but wasn't enough as the Cavs pulled off the upset and pulled their overall record to 5-3 (2-2 ACC) and looking like they're heading to a bowl game.

The Hurricanes couldn’t do enough defensively to slow down the Cavs, but got another wonderful game from the much maligned Jacory Harris. Harris ended the night completing 21 of 30 passes for 311 yards and 3 touchdowns. Harris didn’t have many of his typical gaffes and penchant to turn the ball over.

Miami’s defense have up too many big plays, which ultimately doomed them. All three of the Cavs touchdowns came from plays of 37+ yards. Rocco connected on 11 of 19 passes for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns. The time of possession and total yards for each team were nearly identical, but the Cavs were able to eat clock by rushing for over 200 yards on the ground. Miami falls to 4-4 on the season, 2-3 in the ACC.
