Florida Gators quarterback John Brantley's status for Saturday's game against the Georgia Bulldogs was categorized as probable this week. The signs prior to the start of the game are encouraging, though, as he's apparently out on the field throwing during warm-ups.
Florida Vs. Georgia: John Brantley Warming Up For Gators
Rachel George, the Gators beat writer for the Orlando Sentinel, added a bit of a caveat to his warming-up however as she tweeted "QB John Brantley is out throwing on the field now. A LOT of tape on his right ankle. Encouraging sign for #Gators."
The right ankle tape probably isn't a big deal as long as he's able to plant on it, especially considering the losing-streak the Gators are currently riding. If Brantley is able to start, Jeff Driskel and Jacoby Brissett should resume their backup roles.
