It just couldn’t last for Ole Miss. At the half, the Runnin’ Rebels were tied with the Auburn Tigers in what could have been considered a minor miracle at the time. But the dream ended quickly, much like ripping off a band-aid, as the Tigers reeled off 24 unanswered points, putting away Ole Miss with ease.

Clint Moseley completed just passes, but four of them went for touchdowns. Michael Dyer picked up a game-high 187 yards and a touchdown to compliment Moseley. Philip Lutzenkirchen caught two touchdown passes, with Quindarius Carr and Emory Blake each adding one.
Brandon Bolden rushed for two touchdowns in the loss. Randall Mackey hit Nickolas Brassell as time expired in the fourth quarter, giving Ole Miss some kind of moral victory.
The final score at Jordan-Hare: Auburn 41, Ole Miss 23.
