Junior Emory Blake injured his ankle in the second half of this past Saturday’s 16-13 win over then-No. 10 South Carolina.
Blake leads Auburn with 19 catches for 333 yards and four touchdowns. When he didn’t catch a TD Saturday, tha snapped a seven-game streak of catching a TD pass.
Auburn head coach Gene Chizik wasn’t ruling out the chance that Blake would play, but he’s planning as if the junior will not.
“I’m not going to rule him out, but we are planning to play without him.”
Auburn also will be without freshman receiver Trovon Reed, who is nursing a shoulder injury. He is third on the team with 13 receptions.
