The Arkansas Razorbacks' defense is expecting a rather large boost for their game this weekend against the Auburn Tigers in the form of defensive captain Jake Bequette. The 6-foot-5, 271 pound defensive end had missed the past three games due to a nagging hamstring injury.
Arkansas Expected To Get Jake Bequette Back For Auburn Game
Senior captain Jake Bequette will return to the Arkansas Razorbacks for this week’s game against the Auburn Tigers after missing the team’s previous three games due to injury.
“It looks like it,” Arkansas head coach Petrino said when asked if Bequette will play, according to Arkansas blog The Slophouse. “He practiced last night and did a good job.”
Bequette, a fifth-year senior, dressed for last week’s game against Texas A&M but was held out after going through pregame warm-ups. This week will be his first game of the season since originally suffering the injury during the first quarter of the Arkansas game against New Mexico on Sept. 10.
Bequette entered this season tied for 10th in career sacks at Arkansas with 13.5. He finished last season by earning All-SEC Second Team honors.
