While the California Golden Bears jumped out to a quick 3-0, the Oregon Ducks answered the call right away with a 53-yard touchdown run by Oregon running back LaMichael James. James went around the left edge and just hit another gear, and left everyone on the Bears' defense in his dust to give the Ducks the lead 7-3.

On the ensuing and current drive however, California and quarterback Zach Maynard just drove down the field after getting a pass interference in the endzone, which put them in field goal range. Place kicker Giorgio Tavecchio drilled another field goal to put the game 7-6 in favor of the Ducks.
I’m not sure how long field goals will keep up with 50-yard touchdown runs however, so the Bears are going to have to start getting the ball in the endzone.
