Last week, the Nebraska Cornhuskers defense was completely embarrassed by Wisconsin, while the Ohio State Buckeyes offense was completely embarrassed by Michigan State. This matchup is sort of like the old cliche about the unstoppable force against the immovable object, except the exact opposite.

Taylor Martinez turned the ball over frequently against Wisconsin. The Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback will be looking for a much better performance against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
But hey, the Ohio State defense is okay! So is the Nebraska offense. It seems likely that half of this game will look like a bit of a mess, while the other half is actually an intriguing matchup and should make for some high-quality football. Still, Nebraska is both ranked and favored for a reason. Taylor Martinez is a lot better than his three turnovers against Wisconsin indicate, and should almost certainly have a better game.
Ohio State Buckeyes blog Along The Olentangy is not particularly optimistic about this game and has turned to mild self-deprecation.
If this were the 2010 Ohio State Buckeyes, with Terrelle Pryor, DeVier Posey, and Dane Sanzenbacher, then I'd highlight how vulnerable the Huskers have looked against BCS competition, but a comparison to Chattanooga may be more apt. Although Nebraska has given up over 6 yards per play against both Washington and Wisconsin, I have little hope for similar success from Ohio State's torpid offense. The Buckeyes ineptitude will hold them back, even if the Huskers are in the weakest state they've seen since Pelini's inaugural season.
Nebraska Cornhuskers blog Corn Nation isn't impressed with Ohio State's two quarterbacks, Braxton Miller and Joe Bauserman, and wants Bo Pelini to dial up some pressure.
True freshman Braxton Miller will get the start over Joe Bauserman. If you missed our Q&A with the Buckeye guys, well, Miller is a guy that’s “not anywhere near ready yet”, code for “can be rattled into inconsistency”.
In other words, this is a game in which the Pelini defense should confuse the heck out of the opposing quarterback, disguising blitzes that will ultimately lead to sacks and turnovers.
