Florida State Vs. Wake Forest Halftime Score: E.J. Manuel Attempts To Get Seminoles Off Upset Alert

Florida State football has been struggling ever since their meeting with top-ranked Oklahoma a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, their luck hasn't changed quite yet as the Seminoles trail the Wake Forest Demon Deacons by way of a 16-14 halftime score.

The Seminoles got a boost from injured quarterback E.J. Manuel shortly before halftime as he came in to replace his replacement, Clint Trickett, and subsequently tossed a 46-yard bomb to Rashad Greene to give Florida State momentum heading into halftime. Trickett was 6-of-11 for 29 yards and two interceptions before the Florida State coaching staff decided Manuel was healthy enough to try and save what's left of the Seminoles' season.

Wake Forest quarterback Tanner Price looked solid in the first half, completing 11 of his 20 passing attempts as he connected with wide outs Chris Givens and Terence Davis for touchdowns through the air. The downfall has probably been that his offense converted on just two of their seven third-down attempts, failing to completely capitalize on Trickett's early struggles.
