South Carolina is going to become the latest team to breeze past Kentucky this week -- the score is already 27-3 in the third quarter -- but Steve Spurrier has decided to do it with bells and whistles galore. We’ve seen a variety of creative plays or even things you just don’t expect from a Spurrier team -- a speed option?

But one of the of the biggest twists has come out of an old formation that Spurrier has been using for years -- the Emory and Henry. Not that he hasn’t tweaked the system a bit from when he used it at Florida. How about a zone read from the spread-out formation?

As you can see, Spurrier also used the formation for a slightly more traditional call on the touchdown. But for those complaining that the South Carolina offense was looking unusually bland this year, you have your answer.
