Texas Vs. Oklahoma Score Update: Longhorns Being Routed In Third Quarter

Oklahoma was dominating the Red River Rivalry in the first half. And then the Sooners added two more touchdowns in the first half of the third quarter.

Frank Alexander forced a fumble and returned it for a touchdown on the first Texas series of the second half to make the score 41-10, and then Dominique Whaley broke a 64-yard touchdown run that pushed the advantage to 48-10. Landry Jones, so good in the first half, has only thrown for 21 yards in the second half.

Even the things that go right for Texas aren’t actually going right: D.J. Monroe’s kickoff return for a touchdown was nullified by a holding penalty.

Worst of all: Oklahoma has more than half of the third quarter and the entire fourth quarter to add more points to the board. “The Red River Rivalry is turning into a Red River bloodbath,” said ABC’s Brent Musburger, and it’s impossible to argue with that.
