FSU Vs. Wake Forest: Safety Adds To Demon Deacons Lead

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons seem poised to give fans of the Florida State Seminoles a headache. After jumping out to a 16-14 lead at halftime, Wake Forest forced a safety on what can only be described as an atrocious 'drive' for the Seminoles -- and then followed that up with a nice drive of their own to take a 25-14 lead.

The Seminoles, led once again by formerly injured quarterback E.J. Manuel, started the second half at the 20 yard line following a touchback ... and then it got ugly. Manuel lost 15 yards on a sack by Nikita Whitlock, followed by a false start penalty and finally the safety as running back Jermaine Thomas was tackled in the end zone.

The Demon Deacons added a touchdown a few minutes later when Tanner Price tossed the football to Tommy Bohannon for a two-yard touchdown score to extend the lead even further. It was Price's third touchdown pass of the day, set up by a nice run by running back Josh Harris.
