The Clemson Tigers seem to be a lot better than everyone thought they would be this season, and if their performance in the early goings of their game against Boston College is any indication, they might be even better than everyone thought they were last week. The Tigers have raced out to an early 23-7 halftime lead as they look to stay undefeated on the season.
Boston College Vs. Clemson Halftime Score: Tajh Boyd Vaults Tigers Out To Early Lead
The biggest bright spot for the Tigers has been quarterback Tajh Boyd as the sophomore has passed for one touchdown and rushed for another. In total, Boyd has 240 total yards on the day to help Clemson out to an early lead. Kicker Chandler Catanzaro has knocked through three field goals to round out the scoring offense.
As far the Golden Eagles are concerned, they just aren’t converting when they need big plays. Quarterback Chase Rettig is 7-of-11, but Boston College’s first five possessions ended either with a punt or a fumble. Their sixth possession, though, ended with a 20-yard rushing touchdown from Rolandan Finch. The sophomore carried 12 times for 53 yards in the firs half.
