Kansas Vs. Oklahoma State Score: Cowboys Pass Their Way to 35-7 Lead In First Quarter

Well, we knew it was going to be a tough game for Kansas against Oklahoma State this week, and it sure was. Oklahoma State won 35-7 after -- what’s that? Oh, you mean that’s the score after the first quarter? Oh my.

Brandon Weeden is 16-of-18 for 223 yards and 4 touchdowns. And while these things never pan out for a variety of reasons, that puts Weeden on pace to go 64-of-72 for 892 yards and 16 touchdowns. One of the reasons these things never pan out is because, at this rate, Weeden might not see a second-half snap.

Part of the pace is that Oklahoma State has only run the ball five times, which is why they’ve scored 35 points while holding the ball for just a shade over five minutes in the first quarter. Kansas, for it’s part, has turned the ball over twice and gained 111 yards. But that hardly seems to matter right now.
