LSU is by far the better team on the field at Tiger Stadium today. And nothing, it seems, will save the Florida Gators.

A personal foul for unsportsmanlike conduct brought back a Chris Rainey run into LSU territory. After moving the ball to near midfield, a fake punt down 14-0 failed to move the chains for Florida in the first quarter.
And after forcing an LSU punt on the next possession, Florida topped its earlier futility by allowing LSU punter Brad Wing to race more than 50 yards on a fake punt for a touchdown. Luckily for the Gators, an excessive celebration penalty on Wing took the points off the points — the first such instance of college football’s new excessive celebration rules doing so — and forced the Tigers to play offense and settle for a field goal to make the score 17-0.
Actually, come to think of it, that might have been the Gators’ best moment, too.
