Kansas Vs. Oklahoma State Final Score: Cowboys Clobber Jayhawks, 70-28

There are very few words to accurately describe the beatdown Oklahoma State put on Kansas this week. “Carpet bombing” comes to mind. The Cowboys rang up 600 yards, threw for seven touchdowns and ran for three more in a 70-28 dismantling of the hapless Jayhawks.

Brandon Weeden was 24-of-28 for 288 yards and five touchdowns; his backup, Clint Chelf, then came in and was 14-of-21 for 206 yards and two more scores. And the ball was spread around very well, with no receiver cracking the 100-yard mark and seven players catching at least three passes for Oklahoma State. And the Cowboys probably could have had more if they wanted it; the Pokes socred 56 points in the first half.

Kansas had 478 yards of its own, but some of that came in junk time (which really started in the second quarter) and the Jayhawks turned the ball over four times. Jordan Webb was 25-of-36 for 316 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. It wasn’t even close to being enough.
