Texas A&M Vs. Texas Tech Final Score: Aggies Hold Off Red Raiders, 45-40

The Texas A&M Aggies and the Texas Tech Red Raiders engaged in a good, ol' fashioned Texas shootout on Saturday night. The two teams nearly combined for 1,000 yards of total offense, but the Aggies prevailed, 45-40.

The Aggies entered halftime with a 31-20 lead before holding off the Red Raiders in the fourth quarter. Texas A&M was lucky it even had its first score. A Tech field goal was blocked and returned 63 yards for a touchdown. That was sandwiched in between two successful Tech scores. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who ran for a touchdown earlier, passed for a touchdown, putting the team up by 15.

The Raiders had a field goal a short time after the Tannehill touchdown and had to wait until just 31 seconds were left in the game to cut the lead to five points, 45-40. Seth Doege capped a 91-yard drive with a 20-yard touchdown pass. Unfortunately for Tech, Texas A&M recovered the ensuing onside kick attempt.

The Aggies host the Baylor Bears next week.
