The UCLA Bruins got some bad news, as quarterback Richard Brehaut broke his leg against Washington State on Saturday night. Brehaut left during the second quarter with what was thought to be an ankle injury, but it was revealed to be a broken leg, according to Vince Grippi of The Spokesman-Review.
Richard Brehaut Injury: Bruins Quarterback Breaks Leg
Brehaut ran quarterback sneaks on consecutive plays and was injured on the first one. He was hit hard and his leg twisted, he got up limping but still ran the next play. After the second keeper, Brehaut collapsed and had to be helped off of the football field. With Brehaut out, the Bruins will now turn to Kevin Prince at quarterback. Prince entered the game and lead the Bruins to a touchdown drive.
Currently, UCLA trails Washington State 9-7 in the third quarter.
