College Football Rankings: Wisconsin, Michigan Lead Big Ten In Week 7 Polls
The Badgers (No. 4 AP/No. 4 coaches) are the Big Ten’s standard-bearers and the conference’s most likely BCS National Championship Game representatives. But undefeated Michigan (No. 10 coaches/No. 11 AP) could make noise in the BCS race if things break right for the Wolverines.
Only ranked Big Ten teams: Nebraska (No. 14 AP/No. 14 coaches), which stabilized its season and its place in the college football rankings with a late rally against Ohio State; Illinois (No. 15 coaches/No. 16 AP), still undefeated in 2011; Michigan State (No. 19 coaches/No. 23 AP), solid yet unimpressive; and Penn State (No. 25 coaches), with a decent defense propping up a nightmarish two-quarterback offense.
