Henry Josey Injury: Ruptured Tendon Could End Season For Missouri Running Back

The Missouri Tigers have quite a few options on the offensive side of the ball, as Saturday's victory over the Texas Longhorns detailed, but running back Henry Josey will seemingly no longer be one of them. The sophomore went down in the third quarter with a serious knee injury that could keep him out for the remainder of the college football season.

The running back was planting to make a cut along the left sideline before his knee gave out. The early diagnosis, courtesy of the Kansas City Star’s Mike DeArmond, is not good.

Orthodepic surgeon Dr. Pat Smith just told me Henry Josey is “Done. Done for the year.” Ruptured tendon in left knee. Will still have an MRI.

Josey carried the ball 134 times this season for 1,149 yards and nine touchdowns prior to the injury. Considering he was averaging nearly nine yards per carry, it will be nearly impossible for Mizzou to replace one of their biggest big-play threats.
