Clemson needs Watkins around if it’s going to make a run for the Orange Bowl. He’s already the most prolific receiver in ACC history with four games left in the season, and from the sound of things he shouldn’t miss any of them. We’ll stay tuned in, though.

Without Watkins, Clemson’s chances of a comeback would seem to be fairly slim. He’s totaled nearly 200 yards today, between receiving, rushing, and returning kicks, and he’s been Clemson’s most reliable big-play threat all season.
Watkins has 11 touchdowns in the 2011 season. 10 of those have come on receptions, with another coming on a kickoff return.
