California Vs. Stanford Game Time, TV Schedule, Spread And More

Andrew Luck and No. 8 Stanford look for a second straight win over Cal in the “Big Game”.

The eighth-ranked Stanford Cardinal look to rebound from last week's 53-30 loss to the Oregon Ducks when they and the California Golden Bears vie for The Stanford Axe at Stanford Stadium on Saturday night. This will be the 114th meeting between the two Bay Area schools, with the Cardinal holding a 56-46-11 edge in a series that Cal has dominated of late. The Golden Bears have won seven of the last nine meetings, though Stanford trounced Cal 48-14 in Berkeley in 2010.

With their 17-game winning streak snapped by the Ducks, quarterback Andrew Luck will be looking to get Stanford back on track against Cal, who have rebounded from an 0-3 start in Pac-12 play to win three of their last four, outscoring Washington State and Oregon State 53-13 over the last two weeks to become bowl eligible for the eighth time in the last eight seasons.

Luck continues on the Heisman Trophy path, completing 221-of-313 pass attempts for 2,695 yards with 29 touchdowns, leading the Pac-12 in passing efficiency. Luck is three touchdowns away from tying John Elway’s school-record of 77 for a career.

Cal has found it's running game during their winning streak, with junior running back Isi Sofele becoming the team's eighth 1,000-yard rusher in the last nine seasons. Sofele has 1,029 yards and a team-high eight touchdowns on the ground. Quarterback Zach Maynard has completed just 54.6 percent of his pass attempts, but has 2,285 yards and 14 touchdowns, mostly to Keenan Allen, who has a team-high 78 receptions for 1,103 yards and five scores.
