Considering the ongoing NCAA turmoil surrounding Miami, plus the fact that he's played and coached linebackers at PSU, the speculation makes sense. The Canes have already given up a 2011 bowl trip in hopes of staving off near-maximum NCAA penalties due to the Nevin Shapiro scandal. This may be the last story about the two biggest scandals of the sports year colliding. Remember when you were aghast at Miami’s? Amazing thing to consider, since the Miami adventure seems like harmless fun compared to the Jerry Sandusky travesty.
