State of Disunion is a new book by Clemson writer Larry Williams and Gamecock writer Travis Haney. The collaboration perfectly captures the hate-filled rivalry between the Clemson Tigers and the South Carolina Gamecocks.
South Carolina Recruiting: Official Clemson Game Visitors
South Carolina hosts three top prospects this weekend.
While the two teams will battle on the field, South Carolina will be busy battling other teams for three out-of-state recruits.
Jordan Diggs is a talented safety prospect out of Cape Coral, Florida’s Island Coast High School. The 6’2” 200 pound Diggs is more of a hitter than a pass defender, but holds 20+ offers, and the Gamecocks have a chance to jump into the race for Diggs’ services with Nebraska and Vanderbilt.
Another excellent safety visiting the Gamecocks is Chaz Elder, of Atlanta’s Banneker High School. Elder is a rangy pass defender with good instincts. This is a battle between South Carolina and Georgia, and the Gamecocks are thought by most to lead. Could Elder commit on Saturday?
And last, but certainly not least, is running back Keith Marshall. Out of Raleigh, North Carolina's Milbrook High School, Marshall is widely regarded as one of the top backs in the country. South Carolina must do a lot of work to catch up with Marshall, who is thought to be a heavy lean to Georgia.
