Michigan Recruiting: Official Ohio State Game Visitors

The Michigan Wolverines will host five promising prospects this Saturday, in addition to the Ohio State Buckeyes. Michigan recruiting has been great under Brady Hoke, who has filled the program with energy and taken advantage of coaching uncertainty at Ohio State and Penn State.

Michigan wants to move away from the spread-style linemen brought in by Rich Rodriguez and toward more pro-style blockers. One such prospect who could help in that endeavor is Puyallup, Washinton’s Joshua Garnett. The offensive tackle stars for Puyallup High School, and at 6’5” and 304 pounds, Garnett could play early for Michigan. Holding 20 offers, however, he won’t come easy.

Out of Ramsey, New Jersey’s Don Bosco Prep, Yuri Wright is universally considered one of the three best cornerback prospects in the country. Wright has great size at 6’2” 180’, and speed to burn as well.

Amara Darboh is a national recruit at receiver. Starring for West Des Moines, Iowa’s Dowling Catholic School, Darboh is a tough, physical kid. Iowa would love to keep the 205-pounder home.

Jehu Chesson is a speedy receiver out of Saint Louis, Missouri’s Ladue Horton Watkins School. At 6’3”, he can also go up and get the football. In addition to Iowa and Michigan, Illinois has extended an offer.

Moana Ofahengaue is a talented outside backer for Manila, Utah’s Westlake High School. The 6’4” 200 pound athlete can also play rush end from a stand-up technique. “Ofa” has at least 15 legitimate offers, including much of the Pac-12.
