FCS Playoffs, James Madison Vs. Eastern Kentucky Final Score: Dukes Advance To Second Round On Last Second Field Goal
One week after Dae'Quan Scott ran wild for 250+ yards against UMass, the Dukes pounded the rock on the ground an amazing 68 times for 244 yards. Scott carried the ball 24 times for 78 yards this week, but was out-gained by his quarterback, Justin Thorpe. The Dukes' quarterback did almost all of his damage on the ground, keeping it an astonishing 28 times for 93 yards. But that wasn't all out of the JMU backfield. Despite the 52 combined carries from Scott and Thorpe, neither found the end zone as third option Jordan Anderson took it in for the Dukes' two touchdowns on the day.
JMU now travels to Fargo to face the number two seeded North Dakota State Bison. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3 with kickoff scheduled for 3PM next Saturday.
