Kentucky Football Passes For Only 15 Yards. How Short Is 15 Yards, Anyway?

On Saturday afternoon, Kentucky only needed 15 passing yards to defeat Tennessee. Given that quarterback Matt Roark tucked the ball and ran for another 124, the comparisons to Timothy Tebow are inevitable, but let's pause for a moment and consider how short a 15-yard distance really is:

- People have fallen off cliffs higher than that and survived.

- At their current estimated rates, entire continents could take as little as 100 years to drift further than 45 feet.

- I could have fit Kentucky’s entire passing attack inside of my apartment. See, my apartment is sort of long and thin dimensionally. The one catch is that they would have to advance through my bedroom door, which... okay, sticking a fork in this one right now because it’s implausible for several reasons, but if their passing game needs a place to crash or something, I can help.

- Kentucky’s passing attack could fit inside a standard-length boxcar.

- At this rate, Kentucky’s passing game could travel from New York to Los Angeles in approximately 120 years.

- 45 feet is about... uhh... about this far, I reckon.
