Virginia Tech Vs. Virginia Final Score: Hokies Pile It On, Shutout Cavaliers 38-0

It's been all Virginia Tech all the time against the rival Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday. The No. 5-ranked Hokies entered the second half up 14-0, on the virtue of being able to finish out drives, despite a very similar stat sheet to Virginia's. Both first half touchdowns were on the back of Logan Thomas, who rushed for 14 yards for touchdown halfway through the first quarter, and completed a 16 yard touchdown pass to Jarrett Boykin near the start of the second.

For the second half, the stat sheet stayed similar in most key stats, but Virginia Tech took a pointed lead in the rushing category, nearing 200 yards by the middle of the fourth quarter, while Virginia had yet to reach 50. Virginia Tech added on in the third quarter, when David Wilson scored on a 27 yard rushing touchdown. He followed that up with a 38 yard touchdown in the to start the fourth. Thomas would throw his third touchdown pass just two minutes after the Wilson TD, a seven yarder to Marcus Davis.

Just for Cody Journell's sake, they'd go on to add a 40 yard field goal in the last seven minutes, and Virginia Tech continued their winning streak against Virginia with the 38-0 shutout. Virginia hasn't beaten the Hokies since 2003. Wilson finished with 153 yards on the day, while Thomas threw for 200 yards and had two touchdowns with no interceptions. Virginia Tech finishes out the season with an 11-1 record and will play in the ACC title game.
