The 2011 Egg Bowl was an easy romp for the Mississippi St. Bulldogs, defeating the Ole Miss Rebels, 31-3, on Saturday night. The Golden Egg and bowl eligibility belong to the Bulldogs with the victory.

For the Bulldogs, this game was won through the ground. The team put 247 rushing yards into the stats column, led by Vick Ballard's 144 yards. Ballard found the endzone on a 25-yard run in the third quarter. LaDarius Perkins, though, found the endzone first when he had a 36-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Perkins had 64 yards on the ground.
Quarterback Chris Relf completed 8-of-13 passes for 70 yards and a two touchdowns. Ballard and Perkins had the touchdown catches. Relf had 49 yards on the ground to help the ground game.
Ole Miss kicked Bryson Rose connected on a 28-yard field goal in the third quarter to record the Rebels' only points of the game.
