Notre Dame Vs. Stanford Final: Andrew Luck Toss Four Touchdowns In Cardinal Win

The Stanford Cardinal put down the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the first half, going up 21-0 thanks to three touchdown passes by quarterback Andrew Luck. It too the Fighting Irish until mid way through the third quarter to crack the scoreboard, on an Andrew Hendrix touchdown pass to wide receiver Michael Floyd. Hendrix came in in relief for an injured Tommy Rees.

To start the fourth quarter Luck hit on his fourth touchdown pass, this time to Coby Fleener, as the Cardinal went up 28-7 and put the game out of reach. The Fighting Irish made the score a bit more respectable with a late touchdown in the fourth quarter, but the Cardinal dominated the game from the get-go. Luck finished with 233 passing yards and 4 touchdown passes, but running back Stepfan Taylor gashed the Fighting Irish defense to the tune of 149 yards on just 20 carries.
