Florida State Vs. Boston College: Short Week Hurts FSU’s Chances?

The Florida St. Seminoles are favored by about two touchdowns against the Boston College Eagles. Might not seem like a lot when you consider we're talking about the preseason ACC favorite against a team with only one conference win through eight games.

But remember FSU had to travel more than 1,000 miles for this matchup on a short week, and that the Boston temperature should be nearing the 40s before the 8 pm ET kickoff time. Noles fans have been displeased by the scheduling here literally since the day ACC schedules were announced, at the time rating this game as FSU’s fifth-toughest of the year:

Thursday night on short rest! These are never easy. BC should have a much better offense this year to accompany a typically excellent defense. This game is BC’s home superbowl, and they will be incredibly pumped. Having to travel on a Thursday after playing on a Saturday, can FSU match the Eagles’ intensity?
