Florida State scored the first touchdown of the game and leads Boston College after one quarter in Thursday night action, 7-0. It was 15 minutes of offensive struggles, with Boston College picking up just eight yards and Florida State gaining 61. The Seminoles managed to find the end zone, however, but did so thanks to a miscue by Boston College, leading to a turnover and excellent field position.

Florida State scored on a two-play drive that spanned all of two yards in the first, punching it in on an EJ Manuel touchdown pass to Bert Reed. Manuel is 3-of-4 for 36 yards through one quarter. He’s also the Seminoles leading rusher with seven carries for 15 yards.
On the other side of the ball, Boston College has done nothing at all. Chase Retting has been perfect -- 3-of-3 -- on the night, but only has eight yards through the air.Rolandan Finch is the Eagles’ leading rusher with seven carries for four yards.
