FSU Vs. Boston College Halftime Update: Josh Bordner Takes Over, Seminoles In Control

The half ended in somewhat fitting fashion for Boston College in its Thursday night matchup with Florida State. With the Seminoles up 28-0, Boston College suddenly found an offense, thanks in large part to quarterback Josh Bordner. The freshman came in and provided a spark, driving the Eagles all the way down to the five, only to see the ball come loose on a misplayed handoff.

The result was a turnover and no points for the Eagles, who headed into the half down by four touchdowns. Bordner, however, was somewhat of a revelation. His running ability provided the anemic Boston College offense a lift, and Bordner soon became the Eagles’ leading rusher on the night, picking up 36 yards on four carries. When he did finally throw the ball, Bordner tossed a strike for 36 yards as Boston College drove deep into the red zone.

Of course, Bordner’s performance hasn’t mattered a ton. Florida State continues to dominate, piling on the points as the game rolls along. At the half, Florida State leads Boston College, 28-0.
