It was all Florida State, all the time on Thursday as the Seminoles cruised to a 38-7 win at Boston College. This one was never close, with the Florida State defense clamping down on the Eagles as the offense took care of business from the onset. Only a third-quarter touchdown kept the shutout away from Florida State

EJ Manuel didn’t have to pass much, completing 12-of-16 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown. Devonta Freeman rushed for a game-high 62 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Manuel and Lonnie Pryor each rushed for a score, as well.
The Florida State defense was dominant, forcing four turnovers and limiting Boston College to 207 yards on the night. Chase Retting threw for just 76 yards and a touchdown, but also tossed two interceptions. The Eagles’ only touchdown of the night came on a 12-yard strike from Retting to Bobby Swigert.
