Oklahoma’s Stephen Good Arrested On Felony Assault-And-Battery Charge

Oklahoma offensive lineman Stephen Good has been arrested on a felony assault-and-battery charge, according to police records.

According to Norman, Oklahoma police reports, Oklahoma offensive lineman Stephen Good was arrested and charged with assault-and-battery early Sunday morning, The Oklahoman's Travis Haney reports.

In Oklahoma, an assault-and-battery charge can carry a punishment of up to 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. It is also a felony charge.

Good is a senior starter, and has been a rotation player on Oklahoma's offensive line since 2009. He was named to the Lombardi Award watch list prior to the 2011 season, and is part of a line that has protected Sooners quarterback Landry Jones exceptionally well this year, allowing just four sacks. That figure is tied for the nation's lead, and has no doubt contributed to the Sooners' 8-1 record and top-10 ranking.

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops has yet to address Good’s arrest. The Sooners play at Baylor this Saturday.
