Famous Idaho Potato Bowl 2011, Ohio Vs. Utah State: Time, TV Schedule, Odds And More

Utah State hosts the Ohio Bobcats in the 2011 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Saturday.

The 7-5 Utah State Aggies will be making their first bowl appearance since 1997 when the take on 9-4 Ohio Bobcats i the 2011 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl at Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho on Saturday.

The Aggies last bowl game was in the same venue, which hosted the Humanitarian Bowl. Utah State lost 35-19 to the Cincinnati Bearcats. After a 2-5 start to the season, the Aggies ticked off five straight wins, all against WAC opponents, to become bowl eligible. Junior running back Robert Turbin is the WAC Offensive Player of the Year and is a finalist for the Doak Walker Award (top college running back) after his 1,416 yards and 19 touchdowns paced the nation's sixth-ranked rushing offense.

For the Bobcats, this will be third straight appearance in a bowl game, but are still in pursuit of their first bowl win. After a nearly 40-year bowl drought, Ohio lost to Southern Mississippi in the 2007 GMAC Bowl and 2009 Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl, and lost to Troy in the 2010 R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. Sophomore quarterback Tyler Tettleton has rewritten the Bobcats' record books in 2011, passing for 3,082 yards and 26 touchdowns, with wide receiver LaVon Brazil catching 66 passes for a school-record 1,038 yards and 10 touchdowns. Tettleton added a team-high nine touchdowns rushing.
