Gildan New Mexico Bowl 2011 Score: Owls Rumble To Early Lead

The Temple Owls are putting on a dazzling display in the 2011 New Mexico Bowl, running to a 14-0 lead over the Wyoming Cowboys as the second quarter begins. Bernard Pierce plowed in for his second one-yard touchdown of the game. Temple's already rushed for 112 yards, attempting only three passes.

The Cowboys had a chance to retaliate to Pierce's first touchdown, but a Daniel Sullivan field goal attempt howled wide right.

The highlight of the game so far: Gildan’s CEO showing up in a commercial to dryly inform us we already own many Gildan products. They make T-shirts, apparently all of them, and really want us all to know that we should not be alarmed to discover they’ve already got us. I must not understand branding, because this all feels quite unnecessary.
