Early in the second quarter, and the first bowl game of the 2011 season feels like it might wrap up soon. The Temple Owls now lead the Wyoming Cowboys, 21-0. A sideline scamper by quarterback Chris Coyer was declared out at the one, but Matt Brown followed up with Temple's third one-yard touchdown of the game.
Temple Vs. Wyoming Bowl 2011 Score: Bernard Pierce Overwhelming Pokes
Steve Addazio’s offense has 137 yards rushing with 40 minutes to go. The biggest blowout in New Mexico Bowl history was BYU by 28 over UTEP. I’m just saying.
Bernard Pierce leads the way with 50 yards, including a committed 12-yarder to help this scoring drive along. Joe Jones contributed a 35-yard dash and Coyer has 38 ground yards of his own.
Could Temple win a bowl while attempting fewer than 10 passes? Only four so far.
