FCS Playoffs: North Dakota State Increasing Lead Over Georgia Southern

The North Dakota State Bison are getting closer to a meeting with Sam Houston State in the FCS championship game as the host team has increased its lead over the Georgia Southern Eagles to 13 points midway through the third quarter. Brock Jensen broke off a long run to make the score 20-7 in favor of the Bison.

Jensen is known more as a game-manager for NDSU, but his arm has made strides in the semifinals game by completing 10 of his 13 passes for 137 yards and a touchdown. His legs did the work on his second touchdown, however, as Jensen broke out a 55-yard run to increase his rushing yardage to 86 yards on just five carries.

The NDSU defense deserves quite a bit of credit, too, as they’ve caused Jaybo Shaw and the Georgia Southern offense to just seven points. Georgia Southern has converted on just three of 11 third-down conversions and and turned the ball over twice.
