Ohio Vs. Northern Illinois, MAC Championship Game 2011: TV Schedule, Odds And More

The MAC Championship will be decided Friday night when the Ohio Bobcats take on the Northern Illinois Huskies to determine the best team in the Mid-America Athletic Conference. The game will be televised at 7 p.m. on ESPN 2.

The MAC Championship game isn't the most prestigious conference championship in college football, but it should be a fun game to watch. Both team's will feature high-scoring offenses with solid quarterbacks under center when the Ohio Bobcats take on the Northern Illinois Huskies on ESPN 2 at 7 p.m. to decide the best team in Mid-America.

Both teams enter the game with 9-3 records, though Northern Illinois was a bit better during conference play as they complied a 7-1 record in the MAC-West whereas the Bobcats finished 6-2 in MAC-East play. Regardless, it all comes down to Friday night.

Ohio will be led by Tyler Tettleton, a 5-foot-11 quarterback who's been able to complement his passing attack with the ability to scramble out of the pocket when needed. Chandler Harnish, the Huskies signal-caller, threw for 2,692 yards and 23 touchdowns this season while contributing 1,351 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground.

Location: Ford Field in Detroit, Mich.

TV channel: ESPN2

Spread: Northern Illinois is favored by 4½ points.

Series history: The all-time series is tied 9-9.
