Military Bowl 2011, Toledo Vs. Air Force: Falcons Outpacing Rockets In Ticket Sales

Two Top 20 offenses will be on display when the Air Force Falcons and Toledo Rockets meet in the 2011 Military Bowl at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. on December 28.

Though both offenses rank in the Top 15 in rushing offense, Rockets junior wide receiver Eric Page, who caught 112 passes for 1.123 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2011, is the rare, game-changing athlete that causes the guys on the field to stop and take notice, writes Patrick Stevens of The Washington Times.

"He has the ability to make you watch the game while you’re on the field," Rockets running back Adonis Thomas said. "Sometimes you’ll be blocking and you’ll hear ‘Ohhhh’ and hear the crowd reaction, and you turn and look down the field and see No. 12 just breaking free. He’s a special player and a great talent."

Air Force boats the nation’s sixth-ranked pass defense and will also have the majority of the crowd behind them. Toledo has sold less than 25 percent of their 5,000-ticket allotment, while Air Force were over 10,000 in ticket sales, Frank Schwab of the Colorado Springs Gazette noted in this extensive preview of the Wednesday’s game.
