Military Bowl 2011, Toledo Vs. Air Force: Time, TV Schedule, Odds And More

Two of the nation’s most prolific offenses meet in Washington D.C. for the 2011 Military Bowl, as Toldeo takes on Air Force.

Two midwestern teams known for their offenses will converge in Washington D.C. for the 2011 Military Bowl. The Toledo Rockets will be led by 32-year-old offensive-coordinator-turned-head-coach Matt Campbell, who was promoted to interim and then the full-time gig after former coach Tim Beckman was hired to replace Ron Zook at Illinois. Campbell leads one of the most dynamic offenses in all of college football to battle against the Air Force Falcons who, you guessed it, feature one of the most dynamic offenses in all of college football.

The Rockets feature two-headed monsters at the quarterback and running back positions, all four of whom can put the ball in the end zone. Quarterbacks Terrance Owens and Austin Dantin threw for 15 touchdowns apiece and running backs Adonis Thomas and Morgan Williams each had 11 touchdowns.

The Falcons are known best for their triple-option, run-heavy attack, and they’ve made their living on it this season. They were second in the nation with 320.3 ground yards per game, and quarterback Tim Jefferson, Jr. has rushed for 10 touchdowns as the catalyst of the scheme.

Game date, time: 4:30 PM ET, Wednesday, Dec. 28

Location: RFK Stadium, Washington, D.C.

TV channel: ESPN/ESPN3

Odds: Toledo favored by 3
