Military Bowl 2011 Score Update: Toledo Opens Fire On Air Force

The 2011 Northrop Grumman Military Bowl, the nation's most EXPLOSIVE college bowl game, began with an active drive by the Toledo Rockets, who are attempting to out-patriot the Air Force Falcons. It made a lot of noise, with Eric Page the subject of six pass attempts, before KABLAW! Missed field goal.

Air Force quarterback Tim Jefferson BOMBARDED Toledo with a 15-yard pooch punt on the following drive, and the hits just keep comin’. We were getting nowhere, but we’re getting there in a hurry, as both teams are living up to their swift reputations.

But then! With David Fluellen and Adonis Thomas subbing in and out, the Rockets ventured out on their second ground-covering drive of the day, which concluded with a 17-yard touchdown pass from Terrance Owns to Bernard Reedy.

Expect Air Force’s offense to find cracks later in the game, but for the time being, Toledo just looks like too much.
