The first-ever Big Ten Championship Game ended with the Wisconsin Badgers downing the Michigan St. Spartans in Indianapolis, setting up a Rose Bowl against the Oregon Ducks. It's Wiscy's second Rose Bowl in a row after their 2011 loss to the TCU Horned Frogs, and Oregon's second in three years. They also lost in their last trip. Something's gotta give!

The oldest bowl game is also the first to have both of its contestants paired up this time around. (West Virginia isn’t official yet for the Orange.)
The Rose Bowl is played annually in Pasadena, California in the stadium for which the game gets it’s namesake. The game is commonly referred to as “The Granddaddy Of Them All,” first being played in 1902. Since 1945, the Rose Bowl has been the highest attended bowl game. It’s part of the “Tournament of Roses” New Year’s day celebration, which includes the historic Tournament of Roses Parade.
Currently, the bowl is part of the BCS series and has hosted the BCS National Championship. The Rose Bowl last hosted the 2010 National Title game between Alabama and Texas. This year’s game will be called by Brent Musburger, Kirk Herbstreit and Erin Andrews.
