After a slow start, the 2011 Meineke Car Care Bowl has turned into a back-and-forth affair. Texas A&M leads in the second quarter, 10-7, after the Aggies’ first touchdown of the day.

Ryan Swope set up the touchdown with a 37-yard catch-and-run on a deep ball from Ryan Tannehill, and Ben Malena punched in a two-yard touchdown run to give A&M its first lead of the day. Swope has five catches for 91 yards in the game, and Tannehill has thrown for 141 yards.
The touchdown drive came in response to Northwestern's second quarter touchdown. Venric Mark had a two-yard touchdown run of his own to cap that 13-play, 77-yard drive that put the Wildcats up 7-3. Dan Persa's completed 11 of his 16 passes so far, for 93 yards, but is splitting time with the more mobile Kain Colter, who has five carries for 35 yards.
