It is time for Texas A&M to panic. Northwestern is back within two touchdowns in the 2011 Meineke Car Care Bowl, at 30-15, and there’s no chance that the Aggies are holding on to win this one, right?
Northwestern Vs. Texas A&M Score Update: Wildcats Setting Up Aggies’ Doom In Meineke Car Care Bowl
Kain Colter figured in the Wildcats getting their second score of the day, both with a one-yard run to cap a nine-play, 40-yard drive, and with a 15-yard run between two A&M tacklers to set up the short touchdown. He has 72 yards on the ground so far.
Northwestern turned to trickery to make things happen on the two-point conversion, with receiver Jeremy Ebert tossing to Demetrius Fields for the deuce.
Northwestern failed to recover the ensuing onside kick, but got a stop on the subsequent Texas A&M drive. For the Wildcats, the dream of a first bowl win since 1949 remains alive — and for the Aggies, the living nightmare of playing the second halves of their games in 2011 continues apace.
