The Big 12 lost a couple of members in the summer and almost ceased to exist on a couple of occasions, but they’ve done well for themselves in 2011. Eight of the conference’s members will be heading to bowl games, with one of those teams, Oklahoma State, heading to the BCS.
Bowl Games 2011-2012: Big 12 Get Eight Bowl Bids, One BCS Berth
Eight teams from the Big 12 will be going bowling, with Oklahoma State representing the conference in the BCS.


Missouri gets the conference off to a fairly early start by playing on Dec. 26. Oklahoma State closes out the conference’s bowl schedule with the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 2.
Independence Bowl: Dec. 26, 5:00 p.m. ET
Holiday Bowl: Dec. 28, 8:00 p.m. ET
Alamo Bowl: Dec. 29, 9:00 p.m. ET
Pinstripe Bowl: Dec. 30, 3:20 p.m. ET
Rutgers Scarlet Knights vs. Iowa State Cyclones
Insight Bowl: Dec. 30, 10:00 p.m. ET
Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas: Dec. 31, 12:00 p.m. ET
Northwestern Wildcats vs. Texas A&M Aggies
Fiesta Bowl: Jan. 2, 8:30 p.m. ET
Stanford Cardinal vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys
