Cincinnati, Vanderbilt, 2011 Liberty Bowl: Bearcats Hope To Get Back Zach Collaros

The 2011 Liberty Bowl will feature a match up between the Cincinnati Bearcats and the Vanderbilt Commodores. The Bearcats have played the last few weeks with back up quarterback Munchie Legaux after starter Zach Collaros went down with an injury. The Bearcats however are hopeful Collaros will be ready in time for the bowl game.

“That is still a possibility that he’ll play in the bowl game,” Bearcats head coach Butch Jones said. “He’s taken tremendous strides in the rehabilitation effort. He’s about two weeks ahead of schedule. He’s walking already. We’re hoping that by as soon as next week he may be able to start throwing and doing his drops (to pass) and participating in practice.
