Randy Shannon Hasn’t Interviewed With Arkansas Yet, According To Report

Wednesday, Fayetteville TV reported former Miami Hurricanes coach Randy Shannon had interviewed with the Arkansas Razorbacks about their vacant defensive coordinator position. Hawgs Illustrated apparently reported that Shannon was in line to take the job. That all would've had to have happened one day after the Hogs said good bye to Willy Robinson.

The Arkansas News Bureau’s Robbie Neiswanger reports Shannon hasn’t interviewed yet. Neiswanger tweeted Wednesday that he’d caught Shannon on the phone during what Shannon called a meeting, asking him whether the buzz was true. Shannon said he had to go.

If Shannon were to take a job with the Hogs, it would be his first-ever job outside of Miami. He coached the Canes for the bulk of his two-decade career, spending three years in the middle with the Miami Dolphins. He also played two seasons for the Dallas Cowboys under owner Jerry Jones, an Arkansas man. IT'S ALL CONNECTED, MAN.
