Reports out of Athens indicate that Georgia Bulldogs starting quarterback Aaron Murray has an injured ankle. It is February, so everybody go ahead and panic.
Aaron Murray Injury Update: Ankle Sprained, Not Broken
Good news for Georgia after a morning of panic, in the wake of a report by the student paper that starting quarterback Aaron Murray had broken his ankle in a “team activity”: Zach Klein is reporting that team doctors have diagnosed Murray with a right ankle sprain, not a fracture.
According to UGA Director of Sports Medicine Ron Courson, Murray was evaluated by team physicians. X-rays taken were negative and an MRI performed Monday confirmed a right ankle sprain.Murray apparently sustained the injury during a pickup soccer game. According to a timeline provided this morning by Seth Emerson, the recovery period should put Georgia’s golden boy back under center for spring practice:
